Too much damage to his intestines, plus peritonitis. Poor and painful prognosis. I let my vet send him to the Bridge while he was under for surgery.

- I'm a breeder and exhibitor of Cardigan Welsh Corgis under the Cheysuli kennel prefix. I started with Labs many years ago in obedience, then got talked into *A* Cardigan by a breeder-friend. Heh. One was not enough! I also teach conformation handling classes. My "real job" is being a fulltime fantasy author. I have three series published: The Chronicles of the Cheysuli (where my kennel name came from); the Sword-Dancer saga; the first two books in the 4-volume Karavans series, plus a few historical novels.

I'm SO very sorry it all happened the way it did, Jennifer... I came home and gave extra hugs to my 2.5 year old blue boy.... I wish there were words.... *hugs*

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. As I read it I just had to reach over and give my boy an extra ear scratch.

I'm not sure how the front page looks when you guys access it, but if you see the "Fat, Dumb, and Happy" photo, that's Cassidy. I think he was about 3 weeks old. 8-)
